Epiroc AB is a Swedish manufacturer of mining and infrastructure equipment, headquartered in Nacka and tracing its origins to 1873. The company operates in two segments: Equipment & Service, which covers rock drilling, excavation, loading, haulage, ventilation, and related digital and electrification solutions for mining and infrastructure customers; and Tools & Attachments, which supplies consumables such as drill bits, rock bolts, breakers, grapples, and ground engaging tools. It sells across the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania.
Its business model is built around a large installed base of equipment that generates recurring aftermarket revenue through spare parts, service agreements, remanufacturing, midlife upgrades, and cost-per-meter contracts, which typically provides more stable cash flow than new machine sales. Epiroc also holds a strategic collaboration with Chinas Sany Group to co-develop mining equipment, and it competes in the industrials sector alongside other heavy-machinery OEMs that serve global mining customers.
- Mining capex upcycle lifts equipment orders and aftermarket revenue
- Service segment expansion drives recurring high-margin income growth
- Mine electrification and automation accelerate digital and battery equipment demand
