Its product and service portfolio spans low, medium, and high voltage cables for energy distribution networks, equipment cables for buildings, and engineered solutions for offshore wind farms, subsea interconnections, onshore high-voltage projects, and subsea data transmission. The company also serves the oil and gas sector with specialized cabling solutions and produces wire rods, electrical wires, and winding wires.
Founded in 1994 under the name Atalec and rebranded as Nexans in October 2000, the company is headquartered in Courbevoie, France, and is listed on Euronext Paris. As a mid-cap industrial, Nexans operates within the GICS Electrical Components & Equipment sub-industry, a sector tied to electrification, grid modernization, and renewable energy build-out.
