Description: DNB DnB ASA

DNB Bank ASA is Norways largest diversified financial services group, serving retail customers, corporate clients, and institutional investors both domestically and internationally. As a diversified bank under the GICS classification, DNBs business model spans traditional lending and deposit-taking alongside capital markets, advisory, and insurance activities, with revenue typically generated across net interest income, fee-based services, and trading income.

On the retail side, the company offers everyday banking products including savings, current, currency, and pension accounts; residential and cabin mortgages, home equity credit lines, and construction loans; car, consumer, and refinancing loans; and a range of non-life insurance products covering car, house, home contents, travel, and personal risks. Customers are served through online and mobile banking channels and card-based payment services.

For corporate and institutional clients, DNB provides lending and structured finance solutions such as business loans, overdrafts, leasing, factoring, supply chain and receivable financing, bank guarantees, and trade finance instruments including letters of credit and documentary collections. The bank also operates an investment banking franchise covering mergers and acquisitions advisory, equity and debt capital markets, bond and convertible bond issuance, direct lending, private placements, and commodities services.

Capital markets and advisory capabilities include equity trading, foreign exchange, securities services, research, and risk advisory, supported by treasury management, working capital, equipment financing, real estate brokering, and corporate finance services. Founded in 1822 and headquartered in Oslo, DNB combines the role of a universal retail bank with that of a wholesale and investment bank, a structure typical of large European diversified banking groups.
