Description: SPSK SP Funds Dow Jones Global

The SP Funds Dow Jones Global Sukuk ETF (SPSK) tracks an index of U.S. dollar-denominated investment-grade sukuk, which are Sharia-compliant financial certificates structured to comply with Islamic religious law and its investment principles. The fund is passively managed, with the manager aiming to invest all or substantially all of its assets in the indexs component securities, and is required to hold at least 80% of total assets in those components under normal market conditions. The fund is classified as non-diversified.

Sukuk differ from conventional bonds in that they typically represent partial ownership in an underlying asset or project, rather than a traditional debt obligation, allowing them to comply with Sharias prohibition on interest (riba). USD-denominated sukuk are issued by both sovereign and corporate issuers across global markets, and the Dow Jones Sukuk Index family is a widely tracked benchmark for this segment of Islamic fixed income.

Headlines to Watch Out For
  • Fed rate cuts compress sukuk yields and total returns
  • Middle East geopolitical risk widens investment-grade credit spreads
  • Sharia-compliant demand growth drives fund AUM expansion
