SPBO is a passively managed exchange-traded fund that tracks an index measuring the performance of the investment grade U.S. corporate bond market. Under its investment policy, the fund must allocate at least 80% of its total assets to securities included in the index, as well as to holdings that the Adviser deems to have substantially identical economic characteristics to those index constituents. The fund operates as part of the SPDR family of ETFs issued by State Street.

As a corporate bond ETF, SPBO provides investors with diversified exposure to debt securities issued by corporations, pooled into a single tradable instrument. The investment grade designation means the underlying bonds carry credit ratings of BBB-/Baa3 or higher from major rating agencies, generally indicating lower default risk compared to high-yield bonds. The fund was launched in April 2011 and trades on the NYSE.
