Description: SCHF Schwab International Equity

The Schwab International Equity ETF (SCHF) tracks an index of large and mid capitalization companies located in developed markets outside the United States. The index provider defines the large and mid capitalization universe as approximately the top 90% of the eligible investable universe, meaning SCHF excludes smaller, more thinly traded companies. As a Foreign Large Blend ETF, the fund offers broad, core-style exposure to international developed-market equities.

Under normal conditions, the fund commits at least 90% of its net assets to stocks included in the underlying index, and may also hold depositary receipts-including American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs), and European Depositary Receipts (EDRs)-which are instruments that represent ownership in foreign companies and trade in markets and currencies outside the issuers home country.

Headlines to Watch Out For
  • US dollar weakness lifts developed market equity returns
  • European and Japanese earnings growth drives index outperformance
  • Expense ratio competition from Vanguard and iShares intensifies
