Description: SBSI Southside Bancshares

Southside Bancshares, Inc. is the bank holding company for Southside Bank, a regional bank founded in 1960 and headquartered in Tyler, Texas. The company provides a full suite of banking and financial services to individuals, businesses, municipal entities, and nonprofit organizations, delivering its products through branches, drive-thru facilities, loan production offices, ATMs, and interactive teller machines.

Its core activities span deposit products (savings, money market, checking, and certificates of deposit), consumer lending (residential, home equity, automobile, and other personal loans), commercial lending (working capital, equipment, commercial real estate, and municipal loans), and construction lending. The company also offers trust and wealth management, estate administration, brokerage, retirement and employee benefit accounts, and digital banking via telephone, internet, and mobile channels.

As a bank holding company, Southside Bancshares operates under a corporate structure that separates the parent entity from the operating bank, a standard arrangement in the U.S. financial industry. Classified within the Regional Banks sub-industry of the Financials sector, the companys business model is centered on traditional community and commercial banking rather than investment banking or large-scale national retail banking.
