LEMB is a small-cap U.S.-listed ETF that tracks the J.P. Morgan GBI-EM Global Diversified Index, which measures the performance of local currency-denominated sovereign bonds issued by emerging market governments. The fund employs a passive indexing strategy, investing at least 80% of its assets in the indexs component securities and at least 90% in fixed income securities of the types represented in the index, managed by BlackRock Fund Advisors (BFA). As a non-diversified fund, LEMB concentrates exposure within the EM local-currency bond sector, distinguishing it from USD-denominated EM debt funds by exposing investors directly to emerging market currency movements alongside sovereign credit risk. The ETF launched in October 2011 and operates with approximately $711 million in assets.
