Description: KBE S&P Bank

The SPDR® S&P Bank ETF (KBE) is an exchange-traded fund that invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities comprising its underlying index, which tracks the banks segment of the S&P Total Market Index (S&P TMI). The S&P TMI is designed to track the broad U.S. equity market, and the banks-focused subset gives investors targeted exposure to the U.S. banking sector. The fund may also hold equity securities outside the index, along with cash, cash equivalents, money market instruments, repurchase agreements, and money market funds.

KBE is classified as a Financial sector ETF and holds small-cap companies based on its market capitalization of approximately $1.4 billion USD. As a passive index fund, it aims to replicate the performance of the S&P TMIs bank segment rather than actively select holdings. The ETF launched in November 2005 and trades on the NYSE.
