Description: IXN Global Tech

The iShares Global Tech ETF (IXN) tracks an index designed to measure the performance of global equities in the information technology sector. As a passively managed exchange-traded fund, its business model is built around replicating the performance of its underlying benchmark rather than actively selecting securities. The IT sector it covers generally includes companies involved in hardware, software, semiconductors, and related technology services.

Under its investment policy, the fund commits at least 80% of its assets to component securities of its index and to investments with substantially identical economic characteristics. It may invest up to 20% of its assets in futures, options, swap contracts, and cash or cash equivalents. The fund is classified as non-diversified, meaning it may concentrate a larger portion of its assets in a smaller number of issuers compared to diversified funds.

IXN trades on the NYSE and was introduced in November 2001. It is categorized within the Technology ETF group and is structured as a mid-cap fund.
