Description: IWM Russell 2000

The iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) is a passively managed exchange-traded fund designed to track the performance of the Russell 2000 Index, a widely followed benchmark of U.S. small-capitalization equities. To maintain this focus, the fund invests at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of its underlying index, or in instruments-such as depositary receipts-that have substantially identical economic characteristics. The remaining portion of the portfolio may be allocated to futures, options, swap contracts, cash, and cash equivalents to help manage liquidity and tracking exposure.

As a small-blend category ETF, IWM offers diversified exposure to the smaller end of the U.S. equity market, spanning both growth- and value-oriented companies. Its index-tracking structure and ETF wrapper allow investors to gain broad small-cap exposure with the intraday trading flexibility characteristic of exchange-traded funds.
