Hubbell Incorporated is a U.S.-based manufacturer of electrical and utility products, operating through two segments: Electrical Solutions and Utility Solutions. The Utility Solutions segment provides grid transmission and distribution components such as arresters, insulators, connectors, enclosures, and switches, as well as smart meters, communications systems, and protection and control devices for utility infrastructure. The Electrical Solutions segment offers wiring devices, rough-in electrical products, connectors, grounding products, and industrial controls for non-residential, industrial, and institutional facilities, serving markets including oil and gas and mining.
Products are sold under various brand names to electrical distribution, substation, and transmission markets, as well as to telecom, gas distribution, and grid protection customers through electrical and industrial distributors, home centers, retail outlets, and wholesale channels. Hubbell was founded in 1888 and is headquartered in Shelton, Connecticut, making it a long-established player in the electrical components and equipment industry. As a large-cap Industrials sector company, Hubbell benefits from long product replacement cycles tied to utility infrastructure investment and non-residential construction activity, which tend to provide relatively stable demand across economic cycles.
- Utility grid hardening spend lifts T&D component orders
- Data center construction boom drives electrical solutions demand
- Pricing power sustains margin gains through volume cycles
