HCA Healthcare, Inc. is a U.S.-based, for-profit health care services company that owns, manages, and operates a broad network of facilities, including general and acute care hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), freestanding emergency rooms, urgent care centers, walk-in clinics, diagnostic and imaging centers, radiation and oncology therapy centers, rehabilitation and physical therapy centers, physician practices, home health agencies, hospices, and home and community-based service providers. Its hospitals deliver a full range of medical, surgical, inpatient, intensive, cardiac, diagnostic, and emergency services, alongside outpatient offerings such as outpatient surgery, laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy, cardiology, and physical therapy. The company was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, having previously operated under the name HCA Holdings, Inc. HCA trades on the NYSE under the ticker HCA and is classified within the GICS Health Care Facilities sub-industry, a sector that includes operators of hospitals, clinics, and other care delivery sites in the United States.
