Description: EMLC J.P. Morgan EM Local

The VanEck J.P. Morgan EM Local Currency Bond ETF (EMLC) is a passively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks to track a J.P. Morgan emerging-markets local-currency bond index. The fund commits at least 80% of its total assets to securities in its benchmark, which consists of government bonds issued by emerging-market countries and denominated in each issuers local currency. As a non-diversified fund, it may concentrate holdings in a particular industry or group of industries to the extent its underlying index does so. By holding local-currency rather than U.S. dollar-denominated emerging-market debt, EMLC provides direct exposure to EM interest rates and currencies, eliminating the need for currency hedging while introducing foreign-exchange risk relative to USD-based EM bond products. Launched in July 2010, the fund is listed on the NYSE and falls within the emerging-markets local-currency bond category.

Headlines to Watch Out For
