The WisdomTree Emerging Markets High Dividend Fund (DEM) is an exchange-traded fund that invests at least 95% of its total assets in securities included in its underlying index or in investments with substantially identical economic characteristics. The index is fundamentally weighted (meaning constituents are selected and weighted based on fundamental metrics such as dividends rather than market capitalization) and is composed of the highest dividend-yielding common stocks drawn from the broader WisdomTree Emerging Markets Dividend Index. Because the fund is classified as non-diversified, it may concentrate a larger portion of its holdings in a smaller number of issuers compared to diversified funds, which can increase exposure to individual stock risk. Launched in 2007, the fund operates within the diversified emerging markets equity category and focuses on income-oriented exposure to companies domiciled in developing economies.
