Description: CTVA Corteva

Corteva, Inc. (NYSE: CTVA) is a U.S.-based agricultural inputs company that operates through two segments: Seed and Crop Protection. The Seed segment supplies advanced germplasm and traits designed to improve yield, along with digital decision-support tools for farmers. The Crop Protection segment provides herbicides, insecticides, nitrogen stabilizers, and pasture and range management products that protect and enhance crop health. Corteva sells to the global agricultural input industry across the United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Corteva was spun off from DowDuPont and began trading on the NYSE in May 2019, which is why the company carries an 1802 founding date tied to its predecessor heritage while its standalone public history is more recent. The Seeds and Crop Protection market is a concentrated industry dominated by a handful of large multinational players, and Cortevas vertically integrated model combines germplasm development, trait licensing, and crop chemistry with R&D-heavy product cycles typical of the agricultural inputs sector.
