Description: QTOP Nasdaq Top 30 Stocks

The iShares Nasdaq Top 30 Stocks ETF (QTOP) is a passively managed exchange-traded fund that tracks an index of the 30 largest domestic and international non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq exchange, weighted by market capitalization. The underlying index is determined by Nasdaq, Inc., and by design excludes companies in the financial sector such as banks and insurers. In practice, the indexs composition is heavily skewed toward the technology, communications, and consumer growth segments that dominate Nasdaqs listing tiers.

Under its stated policy, the fund commits to investing at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of its underlying index, a standard structure for passively managed ETFs that keeps portfolio turnover low and trading costs minimal relative to active strategies. Because it holds a concentrated portfolio of just 30 issuers, the fund is classified as non-diversified, meaning a single holdings performance can have a larger impact on returns than in a broadly diversified ETF. As an iShares product, QTOP is operated by BlackRock, the worlds largest asset manager and the dominant issuer of index-tracking ETFs.
