Description: QTEC NASDAQ-100-Technology Sector

The First Trust NASDAQ-100-Technology Sector Index Fund (QTEC) is an exchange-traded fund that passively tracks an equal-weighted index of technology-related securities drawn from the NASDAQ-100 Index. To maintain index alignment, the fund invests at least 90% of its net assets in the constituent securities, with sector classification determined by the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB) system, a global taxonomy developed by FTSE Russell. Unlike market-cap-weighted approaches, the equal-weighting methodology gives each component comparable influence on index performance, which can reduce concentration risk among the largest holdings. As a technology-focused ETF, QTEC provides investors with targeted exposure to leading U.S. tech companies while benefiting from the diversification and intraday liquidity characteristics typical of exchange-traded funds.
