Description: NEWT NewtekOne

NewtekOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: NEWT) is a bank holding company that operates Newtek Bank, National Association and provides business and financial solutions to the small- and medium-sized business (SMB) market under the Newtek and NewtekOne brands. The company accepts a range of deposit products, including demand, savings, NOW, money market, and time deposits, and originates loans such as U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loans, commercial and industrial loans, and commercial real estate loans.

As a bank holding company, NewtekOne is subject to regulation and supervision by federal banking authorities, and its emphasis on SBA lending and SMB-focused services reflects a common business model among community-oriented banks that pair traditional deposit and lending products with fee-based financial technology and business services to diversify revenue.
