Description: MCHI China

The iShares MSCI China ETF (MCHI) is a passively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance of the MSCI China Index by investing at least 80% of its assets in the indexs component securities or in investments with substantially identical economic characteristics. The underlying index is a free float-adjusted, market capitalization-weighted benchmark designed to capture large- and mid-cap Chinese equities, specifically those within the top 85% of market capitalization, with exposure drawn from the H-share and B-share markets.

H-shares refer to shares of mainland China-based companies that trade on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, while B-shares are shares of Chinese companies listed on the Shanghai or Shenzhen exchanges but denominated in foreign currencies such as the U.S. dollar or Hong Kong dollar. The fund is classified as non-diversified, meaning it may concentrate a greater proportion of its assets in a smaller number of issuers compared to diversified funds.
