The iShares 3-7 Year Treasury Bond ETF (IEI) tracks an index composed of U.S. Treasury obligations with a remaining maturity between three and seven years. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in the underlying index components and at least 90% in U.S. Treasury securities selected to replicate the indexs performance. The fund is managed by BlackRock Fund Advisors (BFA) and is classified within the Intermediate Government ETF category, providing exposure to the intermediate segment of the U.S. Treasury yield curve. As a government bond ETF, IEI invests in securities backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, offering investors a vehicle focused on short- to intermediate-duration U.S. debt.
