Description: FYC Small Cap Growth AlphaDEX

The First Trust Small Cap Growth AlphaDEX Fund (FYC) is a U.S.-listed exchange-traded fund that pursues a passive indexing strategy, investing at least 90% of its net assets in the securities that make up its underlying benchmark. The benchmark is constructed by applying First Trusts proprietary AlphaDEX selection methodology to growth-oriented stocks drawn from the NASDAQ US 700 Small Cap Index, with the goal of producing positive risk-adjusted returns (alpha) relative to conventional small-cap growth benchmarks.

As a small-cap growth ETF listed on NASDAQ, FYC provides exposure to U.S. equities with smaller market capitalizations that exhibit growth characteristics, using a rules-based, quantitative screening approach rather than fundamental stock-picking. The fund follows a standard ETF business model: it issues and redeems shares in kind, charges an expense ratio to investors, and its performance is designed to track the published index rather than outperform it through active management discretion.

Headlines to Watch Out For
