Description: CASH Meta Financial

Pathward Financial, Inc. is a U.S. bank holding company operating through Pathward, National Association, with three reporting segments: Consumer, Commercial, and Corporate Services/Other. Its offerings span demand, savings, and money market deposit accounts, along with a broad commercial finance suite that includes term lending, asset-based lending, factoring, lease financing, insurance premium finance, and government-guaranteed lending. On the consumer side, the company provides installment and revolving lending products, tax-related services such as short-term refund advance loans, and warehouse financing for mortgage originators.

The firm also runs a meaningful payments business, processing credit and debit card transactions, servicing freestanding ATMs, supporting digital payments and merchant services, and issuing its own debit and prepaid cards. Founded in 1954 and headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the company was renamed from Meta Financial Group to Pathward Financial in July 2022. As a small-cap regional bank trading on NASDAQ under the ticker CASH, Pathwards mix of niche lending, tax-refund advances, and prepaid card issuance distinguishes it from more traditional deposit-driven regional banks.
