The iShares MSCI All Country Asia ex Japan ETF (AAXJ) is a passive exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance of the MSCI All Country Asia ex Japan Index. Under its investment policy, the fund allocates at least 80% of its assets to the component securities of the index and to investments with substantially identical economic characteristics, reflecting a replication strategy common to passive index-tracking funds. The underlying index is free float-adjusted and weighted by market capitalization, and it is designed to measure equity performance across ten developed and emerging Asian markets outside of Japan: China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.
