Description: G Assicurazioni Generali

Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. is an Italian-headquartered global insurance group operating under the Generali brand across the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania. It runs three core business segments: Life, Property & Casualty, and Asset & Wealth Management. Its Life operations include savings, individual and family protection, and unit-linked products. The Property & Casualty segment covers motor third-party liability, home, property and casualty, accident, health, and commercial and industrial risks. The Asset & Wealth Management arm offers equity, fixed-income funds, and alternative products, alongside insurance plans for multinational corporate clients. The company was founded in 1831 in Trieste, Italy, and has used the Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. name since 1848.

Generali is classified as a multi-line insurer within the Financials sector, combining both life and non-life underwriting with proprietary investment management, a model that allows insurers to cross-sell products across markets and earn fee income from managing policyholder and third-party assets.

Headlines to Watch Out For
