The iShares U.S. Aerospace & Defense ETF (ITA) tracks an index measuring the performance of the aerospace and defense sector of the U.S. equity market, as defined by S&P Dow Jones Indices. The aerospace and defense sector typically includes companies involved in commercial aircraft manufacturing, defense systems, and related defense and aerospace services and technologies.

The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in component securities of its underlying index and in instruments with substantially identical economic characteristics. Up to 20% of assets may be allocated to futures, options, swap contracts, and cash or cash equivalents. The fund is classified as non-diversified, meaning it may hold a more concentrated portfolio relative to diversified funds.
