Description: IGE North American Natural

The iShares North American Natural Resources ETF (IGE) is a passively managed fund that primarily tracks an underlying index by investing at least 80% of its assets in its component securities. The remaining up to 20% may be allocated to futures, options, swap contracts, and cash or cash equivalents, providing flexibility for liquidity and risk management purposes. The underlying index is designed to measure the performance of U.S.-traded equities issued by natural resource-related companies domiciled in the United States and Canada.

The natural resources sector broadly includes companies engaged in the exploration, production, and processing of commodities such as oil, gas, coal, metals, minerals, timber, and agricultural products. As an iShares-branded fund, IGE is operated by BlackRock, one of the largest global asset managers, and is structured as an exchange-traded fund, which means shares trade throughout the day on an exchange and typically pass through capital gains to investors rather than triggering them at the fund level.

Headlines to Watch Out For
