The iShares MSCI EAFE Growth ETF (EFG) is a foreign large-cap growth fund that seeks to track a subset of the MSCI EAFE Index, which covers developed markets in Europe, Australasia, and the Far East. Under its policy, the fund invests at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of its underlying index and in investments with substantially identical economic characteristics, providing exposure to growth-oriented equities across these regions.
The underlying index is built as a growth-style screen of the broader MSCI EAFE benchmark, meaning it targets companies exhibiting growth characteristics such as higher earnings and revenue growth relative to value stocks within developed international markets. Managed by iShares (BlackRocks ETF platform), EFG offers investors a way to gain diversified exposure to international developed-market growth equities outside North America.
